Cruising the Danish South Sea

Our yacht charter base in Burgtiefe on Fehmarn is an ideal starting point in the western Baltic Sea for trips to the Danish South Sea because of its central location.
A good starting point to the north of Kiel is Bagenkop on Langeland. The most favourable island in the Danish South Sea - Aero, with its harbours Marstal, Aerosköbing and Soby, can be seen from there.

Because of the shallow waters and numerable shoals around Aero the yacht charter skipper should take particular care. Especially with our large X-Yachts such as Salona and Dufour the draft has to be considered and you have to sail exactly in the navigational water. Just a few meters away from this channel sea gulls are taking a stroll in shallow water.

Some other trips on your yacht charter Danish South Sea are also navigatorial challenges, e.g. sailing to Rudköbing, Svendborg or Faaborg. The Svendborg Sound runs south of Fünen from East to West and offers a wonderful panorama with pretty and colourful houses, green meadows and forests.
The towns of Svendborg and Lundeborg are definitely worth a break on your yacht charter trip. They offer good amenities, nice shops with typical Scandinavian products as well as several cozy cafes and restaurants.

If you continue your yacht charter cruise east of Langeland, you will find another beautiful district in Smalands fairway in the Baltic Sea. You can expect tranquility and relaxation on the islands of Avernako, Femo or Fejo with its small harbours, lined by long beaches and lush meadows as well as small groves. Supplies are provided by local grocers and, if you are lucky, you can purchase fresh fish from local fishermen.
Further to the east you will reach the eastside of the islands of Mön and Falster by sailing through the picturesque Sound of Grönsund. Klintholm, Haesnaes and Gedser are also possible harbours for further yacht charter trips or for a return to the yacht charter base of REAL-Sailing in Burgtiefe on Fehmarn.
